Installation.
Where the bundles go, how to scan them in your DAW, and the macOS permissions you may need. Windows comes later.
Requirements
SELANCE, Resonance and LoudMeter run on macOS 11 or later, native on Apple Silicon and Intel. SELANCE Capture is a separate app and needs macOS 14.2 or later.
Install the plugins
Download the package for your product and open it. Run the installer if the package includes one; otherwise copy the bundles to the standard macOS folders: Audio Units go to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, VST3 to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, and AAX to /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins for Pro Tools.
If macOS blocks the plugin the first time, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Allow, or right-click the package and select Open. A one-time approval is normal for software downloaded from outside the App Store.
Scan it in your DAW
After installing, rescan plugins in your host or restart the DAW — most hosts cache the plugin list. The plugin will then appear under its usual category in the insert menu.
SELANCE Capture (macOS app)
SELANCE Capture is the companion app that builds tonal-balance reference curves from system audio. Run it from Applications. The first time you start a capture, macOS asks for permission to record system audio — enable it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → System Audio Recording, then quit and reopen the app.
Updating
When you update, remove the previous bundles from the folders above first. A leftover older build is the most common cause of a plugin that doesn't show up after an update.
